This visa encourages cultural exchange and closer ties between Australia and linked up or eligible countries.


Any applicant form Iran, Malaysia, Thailand, turkey, Chile, USA, Bangladesh and Indonesia are eligible to apply for this 462 - Work and Holiday Visa. There are limited counts for visa and once that count of visas are granted, no more visas are issued to any applicant. �This processing fee costs around $500. This price varies from time to time and country to country. The applicant has to bear other costs like health tests and other document charges like character certificates.


This visa is valid for only 12 months. Once this tenure expires the applicant has to re-apply for the visa. During the period of these 12 months, an applicant can work for six months with one employer or study for 4 months in Australia. As the visa is for 12 months and an applicant applies from outside Australia, the start date of the visa is when he/she enters Australia.
