Years
This visa is valid for only 12 months. Once this tenure expires the applicant has to re-apply for the visa. During the period of these 12 months, an applicant can work for six months with one employer or study for 4 months in Australia. As the visa is for 12 months and an applicant applies from outside Australia, the start date of the visa is when he/she enters Australia.
Requirements
The applicant has to be at least 18 years old. He/she should NOT have a dependant child during the stay in Australia. The applicant should be a valid passport holder of Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, USA and Uruguay. Partners can come to Australia with the applicants but the partners have to apply for their own visa individually. The applicant has to produce various documents like certified copies of birth certificates or the family books indicating the parents' name, evidence of sufficient funds, educational qualifications, results of IELTS, TOEFL and other evidence of English skills.
