University of Newcastle

The University of New Castle, which is also known as Newcastle University, is established in 1965. The main campus of this University is located at Callaghan, New South Wales, which is the suburb of Newcastle. This New Castle University has other campuses at Sydney, Singapore, Ourimbah, Port Macquarie and the central business districts of Newcastle.

It is an Australian public university. It also has got three more campuses within the Newcastle city centre. Among all campuses, the Callaghan Campus is the largest campus. And, it is located approximately 12kilometers from Newcastle CBD. Though many operations of the university is run out of this campus, like teaching and learning division of the university, course and degree program planning, student administration.

But, all the major activities are being run within the campus. Auchmuty and Huxley libraries are also the part of this university. Other activities that are being led to recreate the students are sporting fields and sports and aquatic centre. Ourimbah Campus is situated at the Central Coast suburb of Our imbah. This campus comprises of the faculties of the Education and Arts, Business and Law, Science and Information Technology, and Health. This campus has 16 undergraduate programs and 1 postgraduate program.

Port Macquarie Campus offers three degree programs and one of them is the program for Open Foundation. Singapore Campus is the first overseas campus. It has two campuses like, the Henderson Campus of PSB Academy in the Central Region (Tiong Bahru) and the Delta Campus.

Sydney CBD Campus offers a number of postgraduate degree programs from the Faculty of Business and Law and the English Language and Foundation Study centre. The University of New Castle has both the offering of online and classroom based study options.
