The “Royal Automobile Association” can be called as “RAA”. It is established in “South Australia” in 1903. It is an Automobile Association club which provides a large extent of member’s helping hands and also 24-hour emergency failures, motor advocacy, road safety, legal services, technical advice, travel services, security, tour planning and many other and it also having an insurance company.
RAA services operate a point of balance between profit and loss, and the organization wants to look only profits with the commercial and investment activities. RAA was first established as Automobile and Motor Cycling Club in South Australia. And by later 1904 it enhanced the name by deleting the Motor Cycling. .
After that in 1911 the Club had been renewed as an Association, and the royal patronage was received in 1928. Then, in 1959 the logo had been altered from AA of SA to RAA. Address of the RAA head office is North Eastern corner of the South Road - Richmond road intersection, which idealizes the countryside of mile end south.
At first the head office was established at Hindmarsh square in Adelaide central business district. They are having the braches everywhere in the Adelaide metropolitan area. And also they are having many branches all over the South Australia in many regional centers. This Association is having the active members of approximately 560,000.
Road Service
RAA offers different types of memberships such as premium membership, plus and standard membership and fleet membership. RAA services are not at all restricted to South Australia. Members have the rights and also who are interested can setup a branch in the interstate and also in other foreign countries.
RAA convoying and acknowledge 600,000 emergency help calls over every year and also fixes the problems up to 90% on roadside. RAA premium and plus members are having unlimited number of calls where as for standard and fleet members can grant 8 calls per year.
