GSK IMPACT Awards
History
The GSK IMPACT Awards has its presence since 1997. It is held annually and are funded by GlaxoSmithKline. Through GSK IMAPCT Awards, the motto of the GlaxoSmithKline is to promote community health and well-being. They organize and manage this event in partnership with The King’s Foundation. King Foundation is an independent body that works towards improving health and social care.
For nearly past two decades, GSK has honored many non-profit organization that have made an impact on the community health and well-being of the people living in and around US campuses in Durham, NC and Philadelphia, PA.
Till date, approximately 200 US based non-profit organizations are awarded. The total amount awarded to various organizations is close to $8 million.
Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria for the GSK IMPACT Awards:
- The organization must be at least 3 years old and its registration should not expire before the deadline of the application.
- The organization should be located and registered in UK.
- The agenda or motto of the organization should be community health needs in the UK.
- Small and medium sized organization can apply, if they have a total annual income between £25,000 and £2 million.
- Organizations that are working in both North Ireland and the Republic of Ireland can apply, if they are registered in the UK.
- Previous winners of the GSK Awards are eligible to apply again, only after 3 years from the winning date.
Coming Spring 2015
In North Carolina and Pennsylvania, up to 10 organizations will get a chance to earn the GSK IMPACT Awards and $40, 000. The next application for GSK Awards opens in Spring 2015.
