Endeavour Executive Awards

History

The Endeavour Executive Awards were established as a part of the 2003, ‘International Education Package Engaging the World through Education’. It is an international, merit-based, competitive scholarship program and is funded by the Australian Government’s $1.4 billion Scholarship Initiative.
The Endeavour Executive Award is awarded to high achievers in professional development. The fields of study include industry, business, government, education, and the courses range from one to four months. Australians candidates who wish to go abroad to study are also considered for the award.
The key initiative of Endeavour Executive Award is to build skills and knowledge through a work environment rather as opposed to a formal and structured enrollment on a study program at host institutions. The host institution includes professional development institutions and other management training, mentoring, short courses, peer-to-peer learning and leadership skill development programs. The applicants are generally nominated by their home or host organization.

The Endeavour Awards provided by the Australian government is a highly prestigious, competitive and merit-based scholarship program to assist citizens of the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, the Europe and the America to carry out study, research and professional development programs in Australia. It also enables Australians to undertake these programs abroad.

The Australia Awards established in 2009 came up with the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program, administered by the Department of Education, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.
